NUMA HOUSE, a vacation villa near Bordeaux, is the perfect spot for alternating family chill-outs with getaways, with the Pearl of Aquitaine as the focal point.
Long associated with its fine wines and classical architecture, Bordeaux has reinvented itself without losing any of its elegance. Today, it stylishly blends the vibes of a European capital with the charm of a city on a human scale.
Arty cafés, high-quality food spots, strolls along the quays, with top-notch culture and events…
Welcome to Bordeaux 2025 ! What if Bordeaux became your new urban obsession?
Let’s take you there !
Chapter 1 …
10 AM – Slow morning at the Capucins Market
The “Capu” is a covered market under a glass and iron gallery that became the “belly of Bordeaux” in the 18th century. Order a coffee at L’Alchimiste and indulge in a warm olive fougasse. Here, immerse yourself in the authentic Bordeaux spirit.
11 AM – Stroll through Old Bordeaux
Lose yourself in the medieval streets around the Grosse Cloche, an emblematic monument of the city with a turbulent history (guided tour), passing by Place Fernand Lafargue, among stylish addresses and craft boutiques. We love it!
1 PM – Chilled lunch on the Right Bank
Head to Darwin, in the Bastide district! A former military barracks converted into a multifaceted and alternative urban ecosystem. It’s THE eco-cool spot in Bordeaux. Unclassifiable and unmissable! Food court, microbrewery, street art, skatepark, sustainable and community-based entrepreneurship… Watch out! Initiatives are buzzing here…

2 PM – Bike ride
If you can resist the temptation of a nap on the grass at Quais des Angéliques, then rent bikes to cross the Pont de Pierre to the Miroir d’eau. Listed as a contemporary World Heritage Site, this work alternates between mirror and fog effects, transforming this gigantic granite slab into a magical place.
5 PM – Snack break at Books & Coffee
A cozy spot for a comforting snack between beautiful books and pastries.

7 PM – Sunset Aperitif on the Quays
Golden hour with a view of the “BABA” (Chaban Delmas Bridge) in the distance, mirrored by the Garonne.
Have a glass of white wine on the terrace of Café Utopia, housed in a former church. Don’t leave without discovering the cinema hidden there, an independent art house cinema; the best option is to see a film in its original language, a rare film, or rewatch a cult classic… This place is more than just a cinema!
8 PM – Neo-bistro Dinner
Head to Mampuku for inventive fusion cuisine to share, inviting you to travel and discover flavors. Three chefs and friends from the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific decided to combine their cuisines in the same restaurant, after working in gastronomic restaurants in France and abroad.

10 PM – Last drink at Symbiose
Treat yourself to a timeless escape in this not-so-intimate cocktail bar… A la carte, top-notch mixology, vintage decor, and an equally well-balanced soundtrack. And why not finish at Alriq, a guinguette on the banks of the Garonne, a true institution hosting a rich program of music from around the world from April to October.

Bordeaux by night has nothing to envy of Paris or Lisbon !
